Luuk begon zijn avontuur in Vietnam als stagiair bij een grote tour operator. Tijdens deze periode ontdekte hij niet alleen de schoonheid en diversiteit van het land, maar viel hij ook voor zijn vrouw, Ha. Deze ervaringen vormden de basis voor wat nu Epic Vietnam Tours is.
